Below you will find the application for the Pay it Forward Program funded by the Taylor Lynn Foundation. Before you apply please make sure you are eligible, and understand the commitment involved in both the Pay it Forward Project and PADI Open Water Scuba Certification. The PADI Certification is recognized world-wide, and PADI is known for being a leader in dive education.
To be eligible applicants must:
Be between the ages of 12-18
Show the maturity necessary to complete the pay it forward project & scuba experience or certification
Be enrolled in school or homeschooling in Dominica.
Be physically fit (have the PADI medical form signed by a doctor before the course begins)
Submit application - including; come up with a creative way to pay it forward for this experience.
If approved Pay It Forward Program Participants will:
Complete their pay it forward project (and scheduled progress check-ins)
Complete PADI Knowledge Development (manual / e-learning / touch)
Attend All Scheduled In-Water Sessions (approximately 4 days or 2 - 4 weekends depending on availability, Saturday and Sunday classes are from 9am - 2pm)
Receive their PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Scuba Diver Certification (complete with certification card)
Gain confidence and skills in and out of the water.
Be eligible for continuing education opportunities.
Application Process:
Fill out application to the best of your ability - application may be completed below or a video can be made by the applicant answering the questions and outlining their pay it forward project.
Once the application is received it is forwarded to Taylor Lynn Foundation for approval/processing.
